Who would have thought that we could get the chimney rebuilt in the middle of the winter?
It has been fairly mild for a few days and the mason could get it all done in one day, so why not? We are very happy with the result! Now, we only need the wood-burning stove...

It’s definitely a good thing that the mason came over even though it was snowing to do your chimney! A good, working chimney is so important in the winter, especially as we’ve been having some rather cold winters these past few years! The chimney looks great! I hope it hasn’t given you any trouble in the 3 years since you made this post!
